June clinic at Santo 19

The team is nearly complete for the June 13-23 clinic at Santo 19.  Dr. Kress from the University of Chicago will be returning to Santo 19,  he was there with me just after the earthquake.  There is another physician, a nurse practitioner and a registered nurse coming along with Dr Kress.  Dr Bracken, from my home hospital in Onamia, Mn., is making the trip and Raymond Walker from Houston, Tx is coming along as well.  He has done mission work in Africa previously and will be a big help.  I'm still hoping that Dr Pletke will decide to come along, she was at Santo 19 just after the earthquake.

We will purchase about $2000 worth of medication for this trip, we have gotten a microscope and the ability to do white blood cell counts with that, and a centrifuge that will allow us to check for anemia.  We have also purchased 4 new otoscopes.  We will take 200  pairs of flip flops and 144 pairs of glasses and a large bag of donated stuffed animals to hand out to the kids.  That was a big hit when we were there in February.

Thank you to everyone involved in the Santo Clinic project.

Mark
