Haiti Kids
These pictures were taken a few weeks ago in the neighborhood around Santo Clinic the (THB's) camera was a little out of date. When I look into their faces I see so much more than a kid smiling for the camera. The lack of basic necessities like food, water and shelter make me wonder how a kid can still smile for the camera? The cement wall that is still standing after a 7.0 magnitude earthquake while the rest of the neighborhood is rubble makes me pause as well. It makes me think that this is a special place. It was kept intact for a reason. Maybe it was for our clinic? I'm not sure, but I like to think so. We are able to provide basic medical care for a community that has been through one of the most horrific disasters that anyone can imagine. It makes a difference for these kids.

This little girl came with a large bottle asking for (purified) water at the clinic. When she got some, her brothers immediately showed up with a wheelbarrow and three more bottles! THBracken MD
