Our crew returns home, safe and I assume richer for the experience. Its hard to talk about when you first get home. Lots of memories to process, each day in Haiti feels like much longer.  The first day I arrived home after being in Haiti post earthquake, I was tempted to move everyone into the space of the up stair's bathroom. That was more livable space than anyone I had encountered in Port Au Prince.  The running water felt like a luxury. Looking into the fridge was pure gluttony. How could I have ever thought "there is nothing to eat in my house".  Most of the people we take care of in Haiti are lucky to get one meal a day and that consists of rice and beans.  It is a gift that we are able to go to Santo and provide health care for this group of people. I have never met a community so thankful for what we have to offer.  I am still not sure who gets more from the experience.  The patients benefit from our visit and we benefit from the ability to see the world from a different perspective.
