It seems like each and every day we are exposed to new experiences. We can take these opportunities and learn from each one or we can stay in our comfort zone. I like a challenge. Haiti IS a challenge. It is always changing. If we are to continue to make trips to Haiti that are beneficial to the people in our small community we must learn to change too. A connection with the local priest and minister in Santo will allow us to start seeing patients out in the community. When patients can't make it to clinic we plan on bringing clinic to them. With the support of the local churches we will be providing some basic care in their churches. It is a bit of a stretch both in resources and personal comfort. I have grown fond of seeing some of the same little faces growing up over the past 3 years. With a little faith and some luck this may be the way to provide for people who would not be reached. We are in the planning stages for the March trip. I'll keep you posted.
